About Us

Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood ~ Helen Keller

Our Mission

We are three doctoral students who have endeavored to practically apply the rich tapestry of yoga philosophy to the healing of sexual trauma. Our mission is to empower yoga teachers, yoga students, and trauma survivors to discover the wellspring of resiliency and personal power through yoga. We aim to develop teaching methods that integrate yoga's millennia-old psycho-spiritual wisdom into modern-day postural practices in trauma-informed yoga classes. Read More

Yoga is the stilling of the changing states of the mind.

~Paṭaṇjali Yoga Sūtra I.2

Our Vision

We envision a trauma-free world by turning trauma victims to victors through Spiritually based trauma-informed Yoga (SBTY). We seek to unleash the full potential of Yoga by integrating Spirituality with trauma-informed Yoga for the well being of survivors.

If SBTY is successful in its aim to create an inter-religious and multicultural pedagogy, we envision spiritual practices, such as yoga, to "speak" a more universal language to the world. Such a language, if possible, has the potential to heal and unite humanity. Read more
